Parcel delays to and from Victoria

With the massive demand and workforce capacity constraints, Australia Post has advised they foresee an additional 3 day delay for deliveries in Victoria. This is both within and into Victoria. This means, any lodgements made in other States destined for Victoria may be held in those States for up to 3 business days to allow Victoria to work through the present demand.

Father's Day

Australia Post recommends at least the following lodgement dates for delivery before Father's Day on Sunday 6 September 2020:

  • Parcel Post and letters – Friday 28 August 2020
  • Express Post parcels – Monday 31 August 2020

CPAP Sales office re-opens for appointments

The latest Australian/NZ Sleep Science Association (ANZSSA) guidelines have been updated, recommending that Sleep Testing and CPAP Therapy Services can now resume, provided that pre-screening health and temperature checks are performed.

Based on this advice, we will be re-commencing patient appointments from Monday 15th June 2020.

If you need to visit us for any CPAP support related services, please call 1300 042 727 to make a booking.

Changes to our satisfaction Guarantee

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, from midnight 27th March 2020, we have suspended our satisfaction guarantee policy until further notice. We can no longer accept used products for return/refund less restocking fees.

Who is at greater risk

You are not at a higher risk of catching COVID-19 if you use a CPAP device. However, patients with Sleep Apnea may have additional health related issues that are risk factors for COVID-19. These include;

  • Obesity
  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
  • Heart conditions
  • High blood pressure
  • Kidney problems
  • Diabetes
  • Compromised immune system

Also, COVID-19 health risks increase with age.

Another point to make is that if you do contract COVID-19 and are using CPAP therapy, there is a chance of airborne droplets being spread from the exhaust port of the mask, or from mask leaks. In this scenario, self isolation away from others including bed partners is highly recommended.

If you have any specific concerns, please ask your medical professional for advice.

CPAP Equipment Cleaning Advice

Whilst we always recommend you follow the manufacturers cleaning advice, with the pandemic upon us, we urge on the side of caution, and suggest you increase the frequency and thoroughness of your cleaning;

Thoroughly wash your mask, hose, water tank and headgear in warm soapy water every day

Replace your air filter more frequently (at least once per month), or sooner if there are any risk factors at home.

If your machine has an ozone cleaning function, use it daily.

Note: There is currently no scientific evidence that ozone cleaning is effective against the coronoa virus, however if your machine has this function, we recommend using it in addtion to the cleaning above.

Covid-19-News

"If you wake up feeling otherwise fine but without your sense of smell, could that be a sign you've been infected with coronavirus?
Yes, say the experts, but it's worth noting COVID-19 isn't the only thing that can affect your olfactory system. "With the pandemic currently going on, if you are young or old and have an unexplained smell loss come on quite quickly, even in the setting of minimal respiratory symptoms, you should be highly suspicious that you might have acquired infection with coronavirus or another respiratory virus," said Richard Harvey, vice president of the Australia and New Zealand Rhinologic Society."
